These guides are published by GSD Index, with checks against the references shown in each guide. We do not present a fictional author, claim veterinary or judging credentials, or imply that an expert has reviewed an article when none has.
Named specialist review will be credited only after it happens. Health and breeding guides are general education, not individualized veterinary guidance.
Sources before superlatives
We prioritize official rulebooks, registries, breed organizations, veterinary institutions and original records. Each article identifies the documents used and the date checked. We retain the edition and jurisdiction when rules differ. A linked organization is a source, not an endorser.
Source links are not permission to reuse photographs. The diagrams in this library are original explanatory graphics; examples are identified as fictional and never assigned to real dogs.
What a badge does—and does not—mean
Event ranks preserve the named class and result. “GSD Index owner verified” describes our ownership review, not certification by a registry or event organization. Neither is a medical certification, a guarantee of breeding suitability or a recommendation to buy a dog. Missing information remains missing.
Paid stud advertisements are separate from rankings. Payment does not purchase a better official placement or automatic verification.
Corrections and changing rules
Our correction standard is to compare a disputed statement with the underlying record, fix supported errors, and add a dated correction note for substantive changes. Publication and modification dates describe real editorial changes; they are not reset automatically to make old content appear new.
Anyone can report an error or rights concern for free at support@gsdindex.com; no account or paid claim is required. Dog owners can also submit profile updates through their account. For entry decisions, verify the current rules and offering with the event organizer. This library is not an official rulebook.
Owner records & applicationsWhat we can honestly claim today
We connect selected dog profiles, documented competition results, event discovery and explanatory guides. We are building broader coverage. We do not claim complete worldwide registration data, official affiliation, guaranteed search rankings or to be the largest platform.
The ambition is leadership through usefulness. The evidence has to come first.
