Why is my dog already listed?
GSD Index includes dogs from published show and trial results, pedigrees, and breeder or owner information. A profile may exist before its owner joins. Being listed does not mean someone has claimed your dog or offered it at stud.

Short names work. Accents, hyphens and word order do not need to match.
Can’t find your dog? Try the full registered name or clear the filters. List a dog that is not in the index, or ask us for help.
What does owner verification mean?
GSD Index reviews evidence connecting you to the dog. The badge identifies that ownership review; it does not certify titles, pedigree, health or breeding quality. Official results remain independently sourced. Submitted changes are reviewed before publication.
Need a correction or an ownership dispute reviewed? Contact us free of charge. You do not need to pay to report an error.
